Vision, Mission & Core Values

Our Guiding Framework

The Asian PGPR Society for Sustainable Agriculture is guided by a clear and purposeful framework that defines why we exist, what we do, and how we conduct ourselves. This framework anchors all Society activities—from scientific conferences and research dialogue to farmer outreach, policy engagement, and global collaboration.

Vision

Our Vision for the Future of Agriculture

To enable a Secondary Green Revolution driven by biology, science, and sustainability, ensuring long-term soil health, food security, farmer prosperity, and planetary well-being.

We envision an agricultural future where:

• Soil is treated as a living ecosystem, not an inert medium
• Beneficial microbes are recognized as partners in productivity and resilience
• Farmers are empowered with knowledge-based, eco-friendly solutions
• Agricultural growth is aligned with environmental stewardship and climate resilience
• Science and policy work together to secure a healthy future for generations to come

Mission

Our Mission in Action

The mission of the Asian PGPR Society for Sustainable Agriculture is to advance, integrate, and translate plant–microbe science into practical solutions that support sustainable and regenerative agriculture across Asia and the world.

To achieve this mission, the Society is committed to:

1. Advancing Scientific Excellence

• Promote cutting-edge research in PGPR, endophytes, plant microbiomes, and BioAg inputs
• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration among microbiologists, plant scientists, soil scientists, agronomists, and biotechnologists
• Support high-quality scientific dialogue through international and national conferences

2. Bridging Science, Policy, Industry, and Farmers

• Create platforms where researchers, policymakers, industry leaders, and farmers engage directly
• Translate scientific evidence into policy-relevant recommendations
• Accelerate responsible commercialization and adoption of biological solutions

3. Enabling Farmer-Centric Innovation

• Ensure that scientific advancements reach the field in simple, practical, and affordable forms
• Promote capacity building, demonstrations, and farmer education programs
• Respect and integrate traditional knowledge with modern science

4. Promoting Sustainable & Regenerative Agriculture

• Reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers and pesticides
• Restore soil biodiversity and ecosystem functionality
• Enhance nutrient-use efficiency, crop resilience, and climate adaptability

5. Supporting National & Global Priorities

• Align activities with organic and natural farming initiatives
• Contribute to digital agriculture, climate-smart practices, and Vision 2047
• Support global goals on food security, biodiversity conservation, and climate action
